Pupils should arrive at school between 8:40am and 8.45am. Their teacher will meet them at their classroom door.
|Mornings||8.45am to 12.00pm|
|Afternoons||1.00pm to 3.15pm|
|Total hours open (Not including before/after clubs)||32.5 hours per week|
The ARC, our before school club, is available from 7.00am providing breakfast and fun activities at our Federated Junior School. Places must be booked in advance.
Gates will be unlocked at 8.40am for all other children/families.
Children come into school directly via their classroom door. Their teacher and teaching assistant will be ready to welcome them.
Each class has their own timetable for the day. All children will take part in Phonics/Reading, English and Maths sessions every day. Over each week, children will also take part in PE and a range of other subject lessons. We value outdoor and active learning and offer a broad curriculum. Find out more about our curriculum in the Learning section of our website.
The children have a morning break and regular ‘brain breaks’ to keep mind and body healthy.
Lunchtime is between 12 noon and 1pm. The Reception children eat first, followed by Year 1 and Year 2. All children have time to eat together and play together.
Please tell the Class Teacher or telephone/email the office, if somebody else will be collecting your child for any reason. We will not release any child to another adult unless we have been informed of any changes.
The ARC provides after-school wrap-around care from 3.15 – 6pm including light snacks and fun activities. Other after-school clubs are also available providing a range of experiences such as Dance or Football. Places for all clubs must be booked in advance.
A member of the administrative team is in the school office each day from 8.00am to 4.00pm. The Head of School is available whenever possible. A telephone answering machine as well as email are available for messages/enquiries outside of office hours.
