Library

The school has a well-stocked fiction and non-fiction library. The older children are encouraged to borrow a book each week from the library and they are expected to take care of these books and return them promptly.  The younger children visit the library regularly, as a class group, and borrow books for their classroom libraries, thus encouraging good habits and attitudes.

Information Communications Technology (ICT)

The school has an ICT Suite.  The Suite and most of the classrooms have Interactive White Boards to enhance learning.

The school is well stocked with computer hardware.  There are networked P.C's

in each class, which have, been provided by the Government's National Grid for Learning Grant and through the support of the Friends.

The school is also part of the School Connectivity Project run by Norfolk County Council which is giving us the opportunity to access the Internet, use E-Mail facilities and share resources and information with other schools in the area.

(Please be assured that access to the Internet is strictly controlled and supervised.)

School Outings

These are organised to places of educational interest as part of the children's work in the classroom. Children will go on school visits, travelling on coaches with seatbelts.

There is clear guidance for the safe organisation of school outings.  Parent’s signatures are always required and transport is checked for safety. The Governing Body has a policy for educational visits and outings, a copy of which is available for inspection in the School Office.

Conservation Area and Gardens

As well as very attractive and extensive playing fields the school is fortunate to have both a wild area various areas that some of the children help to maintain.

Clubs

There are a variety of clubs for Year 2 children, which take place during lunchtime and after school.  These are provided, free of charge, by the staff and volunteers, and vary from year to year.
